Robert Burger, M.D.

Robert Burger, M.D., is a graduate of the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital Miami, Mount Sinai Medical Center Miami Beach, Chicago Medical School, and the Baylor College of Medicine, and affiliated hospitals in Houston Texas. Dr. Burger has been in practice in Florida since 1974 and is certified by the American Board of Urology. He is the past Chief of Surgery at Palm Beach Regional Hospital as well as the past Chief of Staff at Wellington Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Burger participated in the development of the artificial urinary sphincter and inflatable penile prosthesis while a resident at Baylor, and developed a niche in the treatment of male sexual dysfunction. He is the author of "Impotence: Causes and Treatment," "Urinary Tract Stones: Causes and Treatments," as well as several other publications.

Dr. Burger is fully qualified in all aspects of general urology, including both the surgical metabolic evaluation and stone prevention aspects of urinary tract stone disease. He has extensive experience in treating incontinence, urinary tract malignancies, and the full gamut of urologic problems.

Jerry H. Singer, M.D.

Jerry H. Singer, M.D., is a board-certified urologist who has been in private practice in the Lake Worth and Wellington areas since 1985. He received his undergraduate training as a Pulitzer Scholar at Columbia College in New York City, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He then entered medical school at New York University School of Medicine. His surgery residency took place at Cornell University/North Shore University Medical Center. He completed his Urology Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami. In 1994, Dr. Singer became a clinical instructor at Nova Southeastern School of Medicine.

Dr. Singer has been Chairman of the Board of Governors of Wellington Regional Medical Center since 1991, as well as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Wellington Regional Medical Center, alternating with the Assistant Chairman, since 1990. Dr. Singer became Chief of Staff at the hospital in 2003.

Dr. Singer practices all aspects of urology, but has a specific interest in prostate disorders, bladder control, kidney stones, and impotence. During his residency, Dr. Singer was involved in the investigational research study that led to the FDA approval of one of the most common prostate cancer treatments today. His research papers have been presented at national and international meetings. He maintains his interest in offering state-of-the-art treatments, and allows his patients the opportunity to join various investigational studies for the treatment of bladder control, prostate and other urological disorders. Dr. Singer has been voted "Best Doctor" by Palm Beach Life magazine and included in the "Top Doctors" list published by Consumers' CHECKBOOK — a list of doctors to whom other doctors would send their family members.

Ross A. Cohen, M.D.

Ross A. Cohen, M.D.

Dr. Cohen is a board-certified urologist who has been in practice in West Palm Beach, Florida, since 1990. He received his urology training at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He did his undergraduate training at George Washington University graduating Phi Beta Kappa and earned his medical degree with honors at George Washington University. After completing two years of surgical internship and residency at George Washington, Dr. Cohen entered the urology program.

Dr. Cohen was voted one of the Top Young Urologists by the American Urologic Association in 1995. He is Chief of Urology at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Florida, where he has served in this capacity since being elected in 1994, the youngest urologist to hold this position. He is also the Medical Director of Robotic Surgery at JFK. Dr. Cohen is a former Chairman of the Cancer Committee at Wellington Regional Medical Center and has served as Chairman of the Quality Risk Management Team at the same institution. He is the assistant Chief of Surgery at Wellington Regional Medical Center. Dr. Cohen is the physician founder of the Wellington Regional Medical Center Prostate Cancer Support Group, which is the largest and most successful of its kind in South Florida. He is a clinical instructor at Southeastern College of Medicine in Miami, Florida. He has published numerous articles in professional medical journals and has presented lectures on many urologic topics locally, nationally and internationally. Dr. Cohen is included in the 2003 nationwide issue of "Top Doctors" magazine. He is the subject of "Miracle Hands," a book written, by the wife of a patient as a tribute to Dr. Cohen, and as an informative resource on prostate cancer.
